Purchased a 2001 Crossroads All American 1032FKS from a fellow church member this past Monday. Only sleeps 4, but that's almost enough. we hadn't heard of Crossroads RVs before this, but it seems to be an upper-level quality trailer. Prior to this, we had an '87 Nomad Weekender for close to 20 years. Sold it a few years ago and just recently decided to get another trailer. We were made a fantastic offer that we really couldn't refuse. Love-seat sleeper, four-chair dinette, large slide out, large shower, queen bed in rear, nice cabinetry, appliances, flooring, ceiling, tons of storage, a generator, and a Hensley hitch assembly all for less than $6k. Will be pulling it with our '98 Dodge 2500 Cummins.

Your rig was made back when CR was noted for quality in there units, and the original owners took pride in the fact.
With that being said, I hope yours has been well taken care of, and gives you years of trouble free enjoyment. Congratulations.

I had heard and read that CR sold out to Thor and that the quality isn't as good as it was 15 years ago. We are very fortunate in that the previous (and only) owners took exceptional care of this trailer. They hadn't used it at all in almost 5 years so naturally there are a few things to take care of such as going through and cleaning, replace the main awning, replace the awning attached to the top of the slide-out, repair/reattach the slide-out underlay sealing plastic sheet, and replace the outside shower faucet. Do some lubrication and cleaning and replace the seals around a couple of the windows. Maybe replace the discolored rubber trim around the fenders and other areas. He left several spare parts, hoses, folding chairs, cords, sewer drain supports, etc, etc, etc.... Suffice to say the deal on this trailer is as good, if not better, than the one I made when I bought my '68 MGB seven years ago for $1,000.

Hi Wayne, I agree with Lloyd about the older units being made with more pride and quality components than current models. We still have really enjoyed our 2012 Patriot. Two things I would take a serious look at is tires and wheel bearings. Tires dry rot over time and my tire guy wants me to replace mine every 4 years. The wheel bearings are critical and I speak from experience after a bearing failure in the desert of NM which forced me to stay on the side of the road at a junkyard for 2 days while the shade tree mechanic made the repairs. It was a lousy repair at best and had to be done over at Lippert with an axle replacement.
