New to the Class A scene. Had a couple of popups over the years and most recently when I retired the wife and I purchased a 24 foot travel trailer, Well, 4 years, 50,000 miles and 45 states, It started to show it's age. Found a 2012 Windsport 29X, just right for wife and I plus the dog. (all 12lbs. of him) Looking forward to several more years touring this great country with the help from all the members of this forum. Safe and Happy travels to all.

Interesting how the aging ladder of RV's starts with tents and pop ups, the next few steps transition into trailers and 5th wheels, with the top rungs becoming motorhomes. Not that MH's are better...just easier and more versatile. Our last RV was a 2015 Open Range 323RLS. Very nice trailer but lots of crawling around on the ground drama for this old man and way too long with the truck connected. New MH's are mostly "push button". An older guy I met at a campground recently coined it as..."if you can pick your nose, you can operate today's motorhomes".

Hey Neighbor and welcome to the forum.

I see you're in southwest Bradenton. I'm in northeast Bradenton. I've got a Thor Vegas 24.1 with a golf cart rack on the back. Beep at me if you see me.

There is a Thor Owner's rally in October over in Vero Beach. I hope you can go. There really doesn't seem to be any rules, except the dates. Here's a link to more info anyway:

sadly, we will be down south towards Naples with family. Maybe next time.

Ummm...sadly? Naples is a beautiful area and you should have a good time. I was just down in Collier-Seminole State Park and thoroughly enjoyed the area (maybe it was because the mosquitoes were very light.) :thumb:

Welcome to the Forum, we are a little north of you Ocala, area.

I say sadly, because I would rather be in vero beach than Naples. Been there done that numerous times in Naples,
But only passed through Vero Beach a few times. Never really stopped.
