Hi all.
New to the forum, new to owning a Class A, not new to owning a RV. Have has bumper pulls and a 5th wheel. Just recently purchased a 2017 Thor Windsport 34F with 7400 miles on it and only 11 hours on the generator. Really clean (except for drivers seat wear). Got it for a good price. But so far have been doing nothing but chasing down gremlins. Have not even gotten the chance to take it for a maiden excursion yet and already replaced the converter, chased down and repaired a broken wire to the LED lights around the headlights, replace the seal around the engine cover, had to pull and repair the wiring for the keep alive power to the radio, unkink the water supply line to the ice maker, replace the antenna booster, and now I am trying to figure out an issue with the fresh water pump. And I am going to have to either replace or upgrade the shocks because it is like driving a cinder block with water balloons for suspension. UGH...

Anyway, hopefully by spring I will get this thing all straightened out by spring so we can enjoy it. Outside of the obvious, which on this thing is apparently everything, is there anything I should look out for or replace proactively?

Thanks

7400 miles does not equal a shock replacement. Most new Class A drivers benefit most from:

A good alignment - BTW how old are your tires?

A steering stabilizer - Safe-T-Plus or Roadmaster

Seat time

You are driving a large delivery van. It will never handle like your pickup truck. Get used to its abilities and responses before spending money needlessly replacing/upgrading suspension components.

It seems like there are always fix or upgrade jobs on an RV. Add a 7 year old minimally used RV and the chassis/drive train to the mix and you may have your hands full for a while, BUT most is not difficult to do and the major systems on your MH are the same as on your TTs and 5th wheel; so you're ahead of the game.

For some, half the fun of RVing is working on it, but the camping part is fun as well.

Welcome to the Forum! If you hit a snag in your endeavors, don't hesitate to ask.
