That is a shame. There was an Excel rally at a campsite we regularly go to. Got a chance to meet owners, walk through several units and talked to the engineers. For a full time unit, they were rock solid, over-built and really nice. The interior was behind the times I thought, but their units were well ahead of the industry. Sad to see them go, hopefully someone picks it up.

We compared the Excel to RW and felt the Excel was certainly better quality but in the end, as you say, we couldn't come to terms with the interior "look".

X2 - but I really hate to see them go. The were a high end option.

I hate to see them go also. I always check out their models and prices whenever I get a chance. They have also recently been building the new Hitchhiker. I guess there won't be any more of those either. I guess if you have a great product and you refuse to cheapen it in order to be able to compete, the next step is to close shop.

And the only second tier companies that will be left will be the ones that tell you to bring in your slides to keep rain water off the toppers.

That's a shame! I really liked some of their features and really wanted to consider them but they just didn't keep up with the newer styles of decorating. They had a solid unit
