Any good app or source for Boondocking locations?

I love the RV Life app, but I am looking for an app or website that covers boondocking locations. Of particular interest is Canada. Someone suggested “freecampsites.net” which is okay. However, just looking at what is shown for Alaska, most of the best, well known boondocking locations aren’t listed.

Any suggestions?

When I joined if you became a host your membership is free, so I’m a host. Not sure if it the same now, you could read up on it to find out. Harvest Hosts bought up Boondockers a couple of years ago so it would be on their site too. Been a member for 6 years and find it to be a great way to find somewhere to stay. You can pick the amenities you want like electricity, wifi, water, dump, etc, then choose a host that has what you want. You can choose in Canada, US, Mexico and even some in Europe. Never had an issue yet. If you get to Ontario look me up….also use RV Life pro to plan all my trips, great app, and I don’t get paid to say that.

Following... we're doing Utah later this summer and plan to take advantage of the expansive public lands for dry camping.

iOverlander had a recent update. Just reading the reviews tells you everything you need to now. I almost updated my existing app I've had for a couple years... glad I didn't! Evidently they pretty much ruined the useability for advertising. Now it's like $65 or more for a less usable experience. Oh well... gotta pay those devs.

Now off to check out Allstays, the Dyrt etc...

I have used Allstays for the last decade of camping. It covers both private, glitzy campgrounds as well as public NFS, National Parks, COE, State and County Parks.

It gives you a direct link to most state and national site search and reservations websites by clicking on the Availability and Reservations link.

You can click on another link and it will send the park’s location to Google or Apple Maps and then you can use the map to see the route thre from home.

It also shows Walmarts, Cracker Barrel’s, propane fill stations, etc.

Agree. I steadfastly keep using the old version of iOverlander.
Even though I have to go through the "do you want to upgrade" message each time I open it.

My wife got the new version and hates it.

I guess the info is the same though, just a more cumbersome UI.

When you read the reviews be sure to note how old they are.
If they are several years old things may have changed as sites get closed down or businesses move/close.
