App issues...

2 items I've noticed using the app to access the forum:

• When viewing unread threads - I often find threads repeating in the listing... again and again... to the point I have to just mark 'all read' to clear.
• Signatures do not appear on any post (which often gives info on the rig in question)... Did find that by clicking on poster twice (first time offers to quote the post) - it brings up profile info which includes signature..

Not sure if it is unique to platform (iPad) - or across the app...
Any suggestions?

I get that my Smartphone (Android-powered); won't list all of the info about the person that has posted something... It's probably just about saving "space" (and data!) on the smaller screens.
But I've never seen duplicates the way that you're describing them.
Can you grab a screen shot, and post it?

I use tapatalk on my android. I often get the doubles topic posts but it never bothered me. I always mark everything read when I'm done looking

It's way more convenient to use the cell then the laptop so I just put up with it

I actually prefer my Windows 10 powered desktop system... it gives me access to all of the pictures and videos that I like so much!
And this system seems to work great in here (Once I started using Chrome as my browser...)

I’d rather see the person info than the last pic posted to the thread (no matter how long ago it was...)

Normally a set of posts repeats over and over...
Just happened with single post at end of unread list repeated 10 times..

I've never tried the app.
I use Chrome on an android phone.
Is there a reason to use the app instead of the chrome I use?
I THINK I see everything and I know I don't get duplicates.
The new bottom banner uses up too much screen so with the keyboard open I can only see one line as I type.

I kind of undecided as to which one I'm going to use; when I've only got the phone with me.
Bookmarking the site in Chrome has always worked pretty good; but I do get a lot of unwanted ads...
The App. doesn't seem to be as... intuitive for me. But the ads seem to be gone!

I’ve played with both... on the smaller screen, the app seems better to me once I got used to it... Did take some playing to figure out a few navigation things.... Like finding signatures, multi quote, web view...

The list of unread posts (or full timeline) shows last pic and last text (part of) for each thread to scroll through... easier than navigating with safari/chrome on small screen.

Personal preference... use what you like.
