I have a tankless hot water system. It seems to work fine if I hook up directly to city water source without a filter or and pressure regulator. I know the Tiburon has a filter and and built in water regulator. I have been told I should always use an external filter and regulator when hooking up to the city water. Can anyone advise is it okay to hook up city water directing to the Tiburon?

Ye you can hook it up directly. I would still use the water pressure regulator on your hose to regulate the flow. A lot of campground city water lines are high pressure and need to be regulated to 55psi for the water system/tankless heater to operate. Some, to avoid any issues just use their on board tank water and pump for water use(showers) and never use the city water system for the water needs in the coach. When the tank gets low, they just fill it back up again from the city water line at the campground.

Here is what I'm learning about rv tankless water heaters. Yes they are flow sensitive. but there is a trick or method for their use. You should have a temp control unit. I found ours under the bathroom sink and have moved it to the wall above the sink. Set the temp you like around 100 to 103. Then turn on only the hot in the shower and don't turn it off until you are done. If you crack open the cold you drop the flow levels and the heater shuts off. If you turn it off while showering then turn it back on you will get a burst of cold in a few seconds. I would go back to a tank heater if it was possible.
