Awning lock on my Windsport 34J

Do any of you folks recommend an awning lock or clamps for your patio awning? From what I have read, it sure sounds like a good idea when you are traveling down the highway in windy conditions. I believe my awning is a Dometic brand. What works best for you? Thanks.

I do not use anything but have seen little Velcro straps that go around it like a belt.
