2015 Thor Axis 24.1 rear camera. Is it hardwired or does it have a connector
Looking at replacing it with a Furrion wireless system but it still has to be plugged into a power source

I'm planning on it for my camera system.
It's easy and it's there.
I've tied into it for the USB stuff mounted over the beds.

1 - The camera is not an Axxera camera
2 - It has a connector - looks just like the other end that plugs into your camera multiplexer box.

Ok. I just said Axerra because I figured everyone would know what I was talking about. I don't recall the name stamped on it and it is over at the storage place.

Just trying to figure out the best way to replace that one and get side cameras to have a system that gives me a full view all the time.
Something like this

Are you saying your MH does not have side cameras in the mirrors?

30 seconds in:

Have you verified it's the camera? Several people have found the connection to the camera under the dash had come loose.

We've been through this in my introductory post a few months ago.
I've been all through it including taking the mirror apart all the cables are good and tight. I switched the left and right cables at the mux and that didn't work either

The lag time between switching is ridiculous and I want rear and side views on all the time.

I've taken the camera off the rear of the Axis. and I've pull on the cable but have yet to find the actual male to female connector and the wire is now snug.

I don't want to pull to much in fear of it coming apart and not being able to get the female end.

The Furrion rear camera is not hard wired to the screen, it just needs the cable for power

Is it the MV3-IR model?
If so, you can go to RearView Safety Systems website and contact their tech support.

You'll probably have to cut the camera off of the cable and add a new end fitting to fit your new camera. This is no loss at all since you're going to have to splice to the power anyway.

And if you did find the connection what would you do?

The camera on our 2020 class C was DOA.... replaced under warranty.

I got curious about the connections. In the rear of our motorhome there is a curved panel stapled to the ceiling and rear wall. It covers the camera entry hole.

I gently pried off the panel and there were the wires. You can't pull them out from the outside because they're stuck to the wall. If I remember, the connectors are RCA jacks.

Dave,
I have the same rig. The camera is connected and can be replaced without much trouble I've changed out mine and my inlaws. Its camera connection can be accessed by the removal of a thin panel in the bedroom cabinet on the rear overhead. The panel is held with a few poorly placed staples. Then pull back the insulation and you'll find all the wiring.
The two side mirror cameras and the rear camera are tied together at a switch just behind the steering wheel. There's a panel on the top of the dash that is easily accessed with a screwdriver or any coin.
