Axis anyone?????

I'd buy the 24.1 or it's derivative new longer version.
I wouldn't take a folding bed model or one that has to have the slide out if it were free and I had to use it.

I'm not married to rv'ing enough to compromise comfort.

This week someone said home schooling trips are tax deductible to historic sites and such.
Is this true?

Hey Gary - just happened to see your post. Dont know the Axis but I have a 2017 Thor Majestic 23A that was a refurbished in 2022 with 120,000 miles on it.
We have had a couple great trips in it with zero problems and loved it.
We are thinking of upgrading and just now planning to sell it.
Happy to continue conversation with you privately if you are interested.

Glad you’ve enjoyed your. We are excited to give it a go. We would prefer to buy used and save on the depreciation but we may have our unit lined up. Thank you for offering

We bought a 2022 Axis 24.3 in Jun. Thought we checked it out thoroughly but when we got on the road had several issues right away. Edging vibrated off the shelves, radio wouldn't accept voice commands, dinette table fell off of the support bracket, passenger armrest fell off. generator wouldn't run more than 2 minutes, and the stabliozer jacks quit working. We actually like the coach. It runs well, has good mileage, anf is just the right size for the 2 of us. I highly recommend having the dealer demonstrate every possible thing that is a moving part and having them repair it before accepting the coach. Getting parts from Thor takes a long time.

WOW!!!! that's a lot of trouble. I do plan do go through the coach thoroughly and expect some issues. I hope I fare better than you did and am sorry about your experience. Now, my question. was it difficult to remedy all the issues?? Would you buy that model again? and sorry, but did you replace the mattress and if so what worked out best??

We love our Axis 25.2 and we are also 3. The wife likes the full bed in back and our son likes the drop-down bed at the front. It's had a few small problems, but nothing I haven't been able to rectify myself. I've made a few improvements over the 6 years of ownership such as a bigger, better kitchen sink, a 2000w inverter, 2 x 100w solar panels, front jacks, Airlift 1000 bags to the front suspension, a lowline tv antenna and I'm in the middle of reupholstering the front seat having had the sofa done. She's now on 32k miles and I can't see a reason to trade yet. Good luck.

Most of the issues were easy to fix (the generator had been overfilled by the dealer) the millwork issues tool about 30 minutes to fix. It was more the principle of buying from a supposedly reputable dealer(Camping World) and having those issues out of the box. I had the dealer replace the mattress but it was too thick and will be getting a thinner mattress before the next trip. A thick mattress makes the murphy bed harder to close. We still like the coach and are leaving for Florida in a few days.

Great thank you. Have an awesome trip and let’s hope nothing develops in the Atlantic to get in your way
