We recently returned from our first trip in our 2022 Axis 24.1. During the trip (about 5000 miles), several screws fell out during travel, including two of the three screws holding the metal doorstop to the ceiling. The first thing I noticed is that neither screw is biting at all, they were just sort of shoved up there. The second thing I noticed is three previous holes, that had been covered over. So this thing has already been moved once. And the unit is less than two years old.
My thought was to use a wall anchor to hold the screws. This worked well in the shower, where I had the same problem with the shower holder. But I could only get an anchor into 1 of the 3 holes. In the other two, the anchor only goes in half way and seems to be hitting something metal in the ceiling.
Anyone else having this issue? At a minimum I need to fill and repair the holes now. I am thinking maybe of moving the doorstop to the floor, like the other one. But the issue is that the forward door doesn't open to 90 degrees because of the fridge. So the existing doorstop can't go on the wall, it has to go on the floor at an angle (where I suspect it will be a toe stubber). Then I was thinking maybe a hinge type door stop. But I don't know if that would work with the piano hinge.
Thoughts and ideas?
Thanks,
Lisa
