On my 2016 Thor Ace, the Axxera Av614bh receiver has died.
Axxera and Crutcfield say it is discontinued without a direct replacement.
It controls the DVD/ CD/ RADIO/ USB/ backup camera and side cameras
that come on when using the turning blinkers.
Does anyone know of a different model or make that can do all that & fits
in the dash holder (6.2 inches I think). I can make wiring changes-- but I need the best starting point.
Thanks, Jim Govoni

All I have is a rear camera. I had a Kenwood put in. They were able to use the existing wire harness and camera works just fine. Pretty much a plug in and play.

Axxera AV614BH Replacement

I was wondering about the screen resolution and the quality of the image for your camera(s) - rear and side cameras on the unit that you put in place of the Axxera. Was the clarity and brightness at a satisfactory, usable level? My Axxera is working for all functions, but the picture resolution and brightness from the 3 cameras is very so poor, they are just about worthless. I wanted to know if it was worth the money and effort to replace the Axxera to get a unit with great camera resolution. Thanks.

Replacing the display (radio) does not change the source (camera) resolution.

Axxera AV614 replacement

I see there are quite a few RV owners that are having problems finding a good replacement for their Axxera Av614 Radio. I found a replacement that works perfect with very little change on wiring. I purchased From Amazon a Boss Audio system BCPA9690RC. Be sure and order the RC for cameras. I connected the new unit in about 90 minutes and everything works. As I turned it on and selected camera all cameras came into play. The CD works perfect and radio stations I wasn't able to pick up before on the Axxera now come in perfectly clear. I recommend This radio 100%.

The cage that held the Axxera will also hold the Boss radio. Use the trim ring from the Axxera for the Boss, it does fit.

Just a heads up to all looking for fuses for this unit. There is a 15amp fuse on the back of this unit itself just above the input harness.Mine was not working and pulled the unit out to discover this fuse was blown. It works now.
