Well, this has been an exciting weekend and now we'll be back in the saddle again. We've been land locked waiting for the next little camper to join our growing family. Our son and his wife gave birth to a bouncing little boy (8lbs 14 ounces). This spring, they'll borrow the Redwood and take him on his first camp out (they have to break him in right).

When we came back home after sitting around the hospital all day long, it was decided that we had to put our other little traveling companion down. Little Rockie ( our little black dog) had traveled and worked with us for 16 years but it was finally time to eliminate his pains.

It's been both an reciting and sorrowful weekend. Now we're planing the next trip as soon as service center calls and asked us to brave the snow drifts and pick up the beauty.

Life is good

So sorry about Rockie. Wow 16 years, he must have really enjoyed his life!
When you have "new life" come, it almost seems to help cover the losses...Life is good.

Dave - congratulations on the new grandson and sorry to hear about the loss of your travelling companion.

Dave & Ginny,

Congratulations on the arrival of your new grandson. Those grand babies have a way of adding many smiles of joy to your life. You are blessed.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Rockie. Our little furry companions can become such a part of the family and it's hard to let them go.

Guy

Dave and Ginny,

First of all, we hated to hear about your loss. Been there, done that, no fun at all.

On the bright side, congrats on your new Grandson. We have 7 Grandsons and 2 Granddaughters and they all love to camp!! When you start them when they are young, they will make it a lifelong adventure.:)

Dave and Ginny, So sorry about Rockie, but 16 years? Wow, what a long life for your friend with fur.

Super congrats on the Grandson!!!

Dave, everyone has already said how Dory and I feel - sorry for your pup and congrats on the Grandson.

Our Grandson spent a few days in our camper drawer as a crib, and him and I still go camping whenever we can get away from the "girls". He is now 5 and a shining star in my life!

Dave & Ginny;
Gale and I are so sorry to hear about your dog Rocky. They certainly do become part of the family. We lasted 3 weeks when we had to put down our last black lab to when we got another. We have no grand babies yet, but soon I'm sure. We are looking forward to spoiling them rotten and then sending them home to mom and dad LOL:LOL:
Take care!
