Backup camera

I have Ace 30.1 2017.
My camera is not hard wired to 12 volts. I would like to have my camera on while I am towing my truck.
Does anyone know if a 12 volt hot wire is at the radio to do this? I have a JVC unit!

The camera(s) play through the radio in our 2015 ACE. Is it not so in your ACE?

Scroll through the radio menus and you should be able to find where to select the camera you want to view. I often do this to check the MG we tow on an open trailer.

Unless a previous owner changed things:
Your side and rear camera are always powered through the camera multiplexer box. By default, the video from the rear camera is always sent to the multiplexer video out (a RCA jack) to the radio backup camera in. The multiplexer also triggers the radio to show the BU camera when you put the RV in reverse. When you use your turn signals, the appropriate camera is sent to the radio and it is triggered to show the BU camera (which is now a side camera view). Many radios have either a menu option or a MODE button to show the BU camera video at all times. Failing that you can install a cheap video monitor on the dash and route the camera RCA cable to it to always see the rear camera execpt when the turn signals are activated.

As far as I can tell the camera is only powered on reverse!
When I try to do any other menu item I am not able to do it.
I think the camera is not connected to 13 volts

Do you have the owners manual for your JVC radio? If not you should be able to find it on-line by searching for it with the radio's name & model number.
