BLExtender - Bluetooth range extender for BM Pro

You must be heavily invested in the sensors at $110 for 2, but with the issues relayed here about BMPro in general it might be time to cut bait.

I like gadgets and like being able to see at a glance what my tire pressures are especially with 6 tires. I spent $351 for the 6 sensors from BMPRO about a year or so ago. Now I am considering the extender that my post is about, hoping for more reliable connectivity. My MH is less than 2 years old so a little early to cut bait. BTW I had tried a different wireless TPMS sensor that a service center had given me but it never worked well.
So just asking if anyone has experience with the extender.

Thanks, Mike

IMO that's a rip-off. Many TPMS systems include the extender in their basic package.

I like gadgets too. But when expensive proprietary gadgets stop functioning... and there's no backup or easy fix without paying a ransom I draw a line. It's the "having all your eggs in one basket" scenario... and eggs are expensive nowadays! When the main head unit decides to fail (and it will at the WORST time), EVERYTHING fails with no backup available.

Might be time to cut the cord and invest in a quality stand-alone setup. I've used TireMinder for over 3 years - with Bluetooth repeater - and it's never missed a beat.

Chateau_Nomad. I appreciate your feedback. For me I like the integration of the BMPRO sensors. My issue with their TPMS is that they seem to lose connection, like I said ... albeit randomly. Usually replacing the sensor battery takes care of the issue but I don't think that should be needed so quickly after batteries have been replaced (within 2 weeks sometimes). My question here was asking "has anyone had experience with BMPRO's Bluetooth extender" and how well it was working for them.

In any case, what is your set up? Is your Tire Minder on a Motorhome or a pull behind?

For Tire Minder it appears it would add additional hardware and not be integrated with my Thor Axis 24.1, possibly adding a device to my RV that would require power and a spot on or near my dash. And then a repeater in one of my storage compartments where I would also need a power source. I'll certainly look further into Tire Minder but for now mainly looking for feedback on the BMPRO extender.

Thanks, Mike

I have a 25' motorhome and flat tow a Jeep Wrangler... total of 10 wheel sensors. Monitor sits on dash powered by USB. The repeater is mounted near the rear axle... I pulled power from a nearby 12v light circuit wire. I replace all 10 sensor batteries every year and have had no signal drops.

Sounds like you have your heart set on keeping everything integrated into your BMPro setup. Just go ahead and order it. If it doesn't work, BMPro should cheerfully accept a return... at least then you'll know what their customer service is all about.

I received the "free" Bluetooth extender from BMPRO and connected it temporarily to a 12V outlet on my dash near the radio using a cigarette lighter type adapter. Moving forward I need to find an Aux 12VDC source. I have not found one yet and I do not want to run wires from my house batteries.

Suggestions? 2023 Thor Axis 24.1

Thanks, Mike

If your bathroom fan doesn't have a wall switch there is 12v at its integrated switch.

If you hook it to your tank heaters(their thermostat is in the tank-pad, not the switch. They always have power to the pad, and thusly the electrical line to the pad if the switch is on) and leave the switch on, you'll always have 12v when the rv is on. Then mount the booster inside that useless hatch that opens to the black tank.

Hook it to any side light and it'll be on when the vehicle is running(our headlights are always on day or night).
