I have to replace the front brakes on my Thor Chateau Sport 2006 model. Does anyone know the type or make as I am not able to locate any information on them

Is that on a Chevrolet chassis? Can you just check with Chevrolet or after market suppliers based on the specific chassis model?

You will need to look up parts based on the Chevrolet chassis, not the Thor product.

Chassis can be identified by its VIN if you aren't sure of exactly what it is.

You truly need to have a brake shop do those brakes.
The question belies ability.
When you find out this simple thing how will you complete the task?

It would be a disservice to walk you through a job that often requires an absolute professional.

Who diagnosed your need for brakes...and what part of the brakes?
Where haven't you been able to locate information?

Not everything is DIY.
Pay the labor, buy yourself lunch while they're doing the work and have a nice warranty if you went to a nice shop.
Or
You'll potentially have a tow bill to add to the above when you tear it all apart to find you need a $400 specialty tool or your brilliant neighbor who advised you is not so brilliant.

So true!

Was never going to do this myself. Just need to find the parts for the mechanic to fit. Is an American van that I have in Scotland so it’s extremely difficult to get the parts

Do not use that mechanic.
If you source the parts, and he needs an additional part...
Are you going to wait without your van for those MONTHS or is he going to put it back together and hand it back still not right?

There are plenty of commercial truck shops who have gm/Isuzu specialists. Drive south until you find one.
Maybe there isn't a commercial truck place close to you...but there is a commercial truck place.

Unless it's broken down in your yard
Find a mechanic with abilities beyond
Remove and replace parts.

Where in Scotland? My family is from Markinch in Fife.

The van is sitting in a garage. They have said it will be 2 weeks before they can work on it. To save time and costs they asked me to locate the parts and it has been quite an exercise.
I have had some American friends locate the parts and I have now found a UK supplier. The garage will now order the parts for me.

Markinch is a lovely place. I have been there a few times. I am from Glasgow.
