I was doing a lot of travelingthoughtthe rockymountainsand to words the end I had the rear drivers side tire locking up every once in while. Havent had it on the roadsincethat trip but will have to have another check on the next trip.

I was not able to stop properly, with out really bearing down on the brake pedal. I thought it was the brake controller ajustment, until the transport driver, who delivered our unit to redwood yesterday, told me he had problems with the 5th wheel brakes and informed redwood about it.

I have approx 5000 miles on our unit and the brakes have and are working flawlessly, much better braking than with electric drum brakes. There was a recall on some of the Carlisle units, you might want to get your Hydraulic Pump serial number and check with Redwood or Carlisle to make sure you don't have one of the bad units.

I've pulled my trailer quite a bit and I haven't had any problems at all. After having these disk brakes I don't think I'd go back to the electric brakes again
