We're making a trip to Kentucky to visit the Creation Museum and see the Ark Encounter in late summer or early fall. Just wondered if anyone out there in Thor land has enjoyed the RV parks nearby and have any recommendations. Thanks

Watching....we haven’t been to the Creation Museum in several years and I’m told it recently was extensively updated. And we’ve been wanting to go to the Ark since it opened but haven’t gotten there yet.

I think we are going to stay at Whispering Hills RV Park near Georgetown, Kentucky. It's a little further south than we intended to camp but not too far from the Museum. I'll post an update after our visit.

We stayed at Big Bone Lick State Park in 2019 which isn't too far to the Ark. This June we will be staying at Oak Creek Campground which is just down the road from the Ark. We will be there for 12 nights this trip. Oak Creek has water and electric at each spite and they offer free mobile dumping with a day's notice. Big Bone Lick State Park had water and electric at each site and a central dump station.

Following... We're hoping to go in the next few months as well. We were looking at Three Springs Campground located in Corinth, KY 10 miles from the Ark Encounter. Would love to know if there's a cg closer.

South of the Ark is the Red River Gorge where you can kayak into the cavern with a guide. The kayaks are clear(see through) which makes it much easier to see all of the fish swimming around you. I believe it is about an hour drive south of the Ark.
