Carefree Awning MTBF?

Has one run across any documentation on the estimated mean time between failures on the Carefree awning that used on the Axis/Vegas line? I'm finding that I'm hesitant to run the awning out as often as I might because I'm concerned that the thing is going to break on me. Am I being a worry wart?

Replacement Cost

Just priced a replacement 18" Carefree Latitude. Just shy of $2000.00! That is the whole unit, not just motor or canvass replacement.

There are no real maintenance instruction in the service manual.

I believe In using everything on my MH as often as I like. If something goes wrong I deal with it as it comes. Happy trails to you!!

Use it or not use it. It will deteriorate without use, it will deteriorate with use. There is no point in having it if you do not enjoy the shade it can provide you. Nothing lasts forever.

Mine has been used regularly for 4.5 years & only 1 strut replaced due to leaking oil, so as stated above, use it or not, but don't sweat the small stuff, go enjoy, when something breaks deal with it.
