Absorption type fridges are notoriousfor not working well in hot weather and because we were making a trip to Arizona in August instead of the winter, I decided to add a couple of fans to help move air in the back of the fridge compartment. The fans are thermostatically controlled to come on when the outside air is above 80*F and offwhen it falls to75*F.

<DIV align=center>The thermostat is mounted above the 120V receptacle. The fans are surplus 12V muffin fans that move about 30 cfm of air each.
