It goes by how many post you have, It changes for you when you hit that magical number

That makes absolutely no sense at all. I used to be a family vacation camper, now I'm a seasonal camper and hope to be full time in the next 18 months.

Hi Sean - those titles are based on your post count and not anything else.
Here's the scheme:

New Camper 0 Posts
Weekend Camper 10 posts
Family Vacation Member 100 posts
Seasonal Camper 250 posts
Full Time Camper 500 posts
