Hello all, I've attached a basic schematic for my 2018 24WS on a sprinter chassis.

1. Should the inverter/converter charge the chassis battery when plugged into shore power?

2. Does anyone know what the operations of (MB part number 89 8078 000) roof controller does? Picture also attached

The isolation solenoid is direct wired into the controller mentioned above. It is supplying battery voltage to the isolation solenoid only when the vehicle is running.

Historically, MB does not allow charging of the chassis battery from the house. The isolation solenoid is likely controlled by an IRD controller (Isolation Relay Delay).

Scan the QR code on the second pic to figure out what it does - BING and GOOGLE lists everything from a trailer light control module to a transmission control module just by the black box with a white label.

Looks like the PSM.
A discussion about it here.

Parametric Special Module. It can be configured to operate a number of Sprinter functions. Coach builders use it and parameters can be reprogrammed depending on what you want it to control.
I don't really understand it.
Check out the link.

I'm digging into my RVs electrical system this weekend and come Monday hope to have a full understanding of what can and can't be done with it.
