Coach Battery Charging Issues

The master power switch always rests in that position. You push up to turn it on (light goes on) or turn it off, but it always like it is in the earlier photo. now when I press it "on" the light comes on briefly until you let it go.

In terms of voltage, the house batteries are 12.4, and when I touch the two large terminals on the latching relay, it reads 12.4. When the main power button is pressed, the voltage goes to 0, and I see the blue light from inside the converter come on.

Allright, I sasw the blue light in one of your previous pics - I think it is just a LED that lights with 12 VDC present. Are you saying it does not light when on SP now? Do the overhead lights work when on SP?

Back to the latching relay.
Looking back at you pictures I see you have a single voltage pulsed latching relay, LR9806. It works with a DPST momentary switch (which is what you have). This setup is normally used extensively on Coachmen, Monaco & Holiday Rambler RV's and many others., but not so much on Thors. So the latching relay you purchased will not work as a replacement. You need a LR9806 latching relay. I don't see where it is available on Amazon but if you search for it there Amazon will be happy to show you the wrong relays.

It is available on RV parts stores like:
