We just bought a 2014 Windstar 34F. I'm looking for ways to organize the storage in the cockpit. We have two cup holders with space for water bottles and a flat center storage tray.

Has anyone found a better way to increase storage in the cockpit?

Windstar? I think you mean Windsport.

The cockpit area is pretty standard across all the Class A lines of the same vintage; Windsport, Hurricane, ACE. There are several threads here regarding upgrading the cup holders and even making custom stands to sit on top of the doghouse (kinda like we did with vans in the 70s).

There's also some threads regarding hanging small organizers on the outboard walls to keep small items in.

I've run into a couple of MH owners who wanted more storage up front also so they replaced the center engine cover with one that was custom made. If you search Amazon you should be able to find some that are available. They're not cheap but might serve your purpose. If I remember correctly they were running somewhere between 3800.00 and 4800.00 dolllars depending on your wants and colors.

does anybody really need more storage up front that bad?

:nonono:

I added a small table with two cup holders to our ACE's cockpit. The ones in the engine cover/dog house were too far of a stretch to be useful while driving.

I thought about attaching the small table to the original (large) table mount. But that would have required it to be cantilevered and it'd have to be removed to use the large table. So I added a new table mount. The small table can stay in place when we're 'camping' and using the large table. And it is easily removed if/when the engine cover needs to be removed.
