Went to the Coast this past weekend and our Carefree awning would not extend. Returned home for troubleshooting and have talked with Thor and Carefree but so far have not been able to isolate the problem. Fuse is good and power is going to the Control Module. When Extend or Retract is commanded on the BMpro control panel I do not see any voltage to the motor.
I have downloaded the latest BMPRO software and reset the Master node.
My next planned step is to pull the connecter from the Master Node and try to apply 12v to the extend socket. That should tell me if the command is coming from the Master Node.
Hesitant to do that last step because I am not sure of the voltage coming off the Node.

have you met the awning interlock conditions? Like engine off and key removed?

Any other 12 VDC items not working?

Masternode is a relay station, so check relay input and test voltage on the power side. The switches to the input side are momentary as a 'trigger' of sorts. The relay is tripped and power is sent to the device, extend or retract.

Could be a loose wire on either part- do you have a diagram of the node wiring?

Mine failed once b/c the power wire came off at the fusebox- badly crimped spade lug- just came right out. I had to use the manual crank that one time. FIxed and all better now.

Just purchased a 2024 Compass 24KB and I'm watching to learn more about what can go wrong on the Compass and Gemini RV's. Thanks
John

Here's hoping you got a good smattering of old fashioned analog switches to operate critical hardware... otherwise you'll probably be posting on here that "my_____isn't working and I have no switch to test it!"

If your BMPro goes dumb.....press and hold the light switch in the bathroom, that should reboot it. Be careful extending the slideout...cabinets in the back can come open during travel and catch.
Winegard Connection can be frustrating.....make sure you have the latest software.
I love the Ford Transit chassis.......the AWD capability and driveability of the unit is great.

BMPro battery can die too if stored improperly- mine did and I soldered in a new one. PM me if you need the pdf on how-to. Not hard to do.

Check to see if your unit has the correct motor for your awning. We ran into a similar issue and finally Thor admitted that they were putting in the wrong motor for the awning!!! Simple fix, but took awhile to figure it out. Good luck.

In order to extend mine I had to have the parking break on. Try that as well!

Parking brake is on. Got the awning to extend using direct 12v hookup to the motor.

Building a test harness so I can read the signal coming from XA1 on the BMZPro RV Master Node.

Check to make sure you didn't retract it "over itself". While extending, you can continue holding the button and the awning will actually roll back over itself and start retracting back in. I did this and it took me a while to figure it out. Try pushing the retract button.

I have a jumper unit that also provides 12VDC. I have used it to jumper the 12V to the connector on the awning to retract it when a switch did not work. If you have a long extension and battery clips, you can use the house batteries. My cable is set up with its own switch and fuse. Just add a connector, auto parts store, for your awning and then verify that its motor is not the problem. Otherwise you are chasing your tail.

I got the motor to run......now making up a test harness to check the signal coming off XA1 on the Master Node.
I am working on a direct supply harness for the motor....trying to figure out a good way to mount a connectionthat I can tap into.
