Hi! We’re from Vegas and we’re thinking of upgrading to an Aria 3401, that’s how we’ve found this forum. We hope to find some people here that have the Aria 3401, who can tell us what they like and dislike about it, if there is anything they would want to change or even have changed. We love hearing about your experiences and maybe you’ll help us make THE FINAL decision

Welcome to the forum. If I remember correctly some folks posted about issues with storage compartments taking on water.

You can use the search feature and read the posts.

I just looked at the floor plan for the 3401. Personally I would not consider one because of the full wall Schwintec slide.

Do your research.

Thank you and will definitely start a little search

Anyone who buys a full slide and a slide kitchen deserves what they get.
But
RV checklist is a predelivery app that you must use.

Run all slides in and out and the jacks up and down until the house batteries are dead, then insist on new batteries.
Nothing less.

What year Aria you considering?

I have a 2019 Aria 3901. Suggest as another person said do a search on "Aria 3401" in this forum. Plenty of info.

Also, if you haven't yet, consider joining the Facebook group Thor Aria Owners group. Also, suggest a search there, then ask more questions if you feel more info is needed.

From my experience, I think Aria owners have experienced similar problems based on the year, more so than model (3401, 3701, 3901, 4000). Exception being something unique to the model, such as the 3901/4000 having a very long passenger slide, which has carried with it more opportunities for troubles.

I say if you planning on upgrading and if you have fallen in love with a Aria 3401, go for it.

Brand new and from what Dealer? ( Dealer can makes the biggest difference) Used, what year or years are you looking at?

I also think your question to see pros and cons from other owners is fair game. I would think with some patience you can find many opinions and stories about the Aria 3401.

From my view, I assume people that buy large RVs like the 3401 have the money to buy their way out of problems; so I wouldn't sweat the small stuff.

With that said, and from what I have read on this forum, I would be scared to death of the full wall slide made by Schwintec among a few other things.

Ironically I ended up buying a coach with a full wall slide and his worked without issue. It contains the kitchen, plumbing etc. Now my SOB coach full wall slide is not a Schwintec as that may be factor?

One other thing that I read a lot on this forum that I don't really agree with is those that say not to buy with the toilet on the passenger side. Our toilet is on passenger side and it too has been issue free. I think their angst should be more directed of specific model of Thor caoch that has very plumbing design, i.e. the 29m versus a broad brush that says toilets should not be on the passenger side.

Regardless of vast views, you have come to the right and at the RIGHT TIME ( before buying). Keep digging and it will become clearer with time.

Thank you, especially for the last tip :coolsmiley:

We like the smaller 3401, but it also has a full size wall slide, so I think it probably doesn't matter that much that it's a little smaller. It will either have problems or not, we'll have to decide if we want to take that risk or not. I haven't heard a lot of other complaints so far, but I guess the slide is a big thing.

You might consider the Entegra Reatta 37K. Entegra RED's use in-frame slide system and have a two year warranty. Entegra is a division of Thor Industries just like Thor MC.

Actually Entegra is the high end part of Jayco which is the separate operating unit of Thor Industries.

You are correct. Jayco is listed as a subsidiary of Thor Industries and Entegra is listed as a brand of RV under the Jayco name. I should have looked at the company's structure before posting.

Thanks! That one is a little bit more expensive, but it looks really nice. We'll definitely check it out!

Ahh.... but you are from Nevada, you know there is no need to roll the dice when you don't have too

When I 1st started my search, the coach that I would eventually buy was ruled out on Day 1 due to price. It was not a consideration in our shopping. But fate (meaning issues with the RVs) kept me from sealing a deal on any of the cheaper options. Suddenly; the little bit more expensive incremental increase just made sense.

Think of it like this, you are asking questions for a reason, it is cheaper for a reason, and the consensus of views are being provided for a reason.
