I have a 2015 Vegas 25.1. The power converter does not work. All fuses are ok and the circuit breaker is ok. Anyone have this problem, or can tell me what to look for? Tks

Your coach is too new to have the converter fail.

What is happening for you to think the converter is dead?

Sorry, but have to ask. Do you have the "Use/store" switch in the "use" position? If not the batteries are not connected and will not charge. Of course they shouldn't discharge either.

The converters Thor installs do not have a stellar reputation, but as was mentioned it shouldn't have failed already.

Do your lights, etc work if you put the use/store switch in the store position while on shore power? If so the converter is getting 110 and putting out 12 volts. That means that the charger stage isn't working or is not connected properly.

Regards,

Randy

Usually when a convert fails, it will be outputting a variable voltage. Occasionally, it will be the correct voltage but then the voltage will drop and you will see your 12 volt lights dim.

Check the voltage at the battery and one of your dash 12v outlets. It should read the same within a tenth of a volt. Typically it will read about 13.5 volts when on shore power.

If the battery voltage is lower by a couple of volts then, look in the battery storage area. On the left hand side as you are facing into the coach is a red button. It may not look red due to the over spray from the terminal corrosion spay. Try pushing the button.

Have you checked the water level in the batteries? When we took delivery of our coach the batteries were dry and would hold a charge for less than hour.

Fred

It is on the rectangular block close to the battery. Left side after lifting the battery compartment cover. Small, red, reset button that disconnects/reconnects the 12v coach batteries

Bruce

What is that red button for? Can't find anything in the manual

When I located the red button, the battery was up against it. So movement of the battery apparently tripped the switch. Could be resolution to the converter mystery. When I talked to Thor techs earlier, they didn't even mention this switch! Thanks for your help Bruce

It seems that the only function of the red button is to disconnect the dash radio from the battery. When it is pushed it moves a yellow lever out. To reset it, you move the yellow lever back.

Have you resolved your converter charging problem?

Bruce

you could have a dead coach battery, it is a common problem. If a Harris battery take it to Wal-Mart and have them test it for free.. Harris won't warranty it because they blame Thor for inadequate charging system but I think they had a bad run. Whatever the case you are screwed unless the dealer steps in.

Thor replaced the converter, but it is still unclear to me what the the little red button and yellow flag reset or for. Anyone have a clue? Tks
