I am still learning this and hard to believe we have had 8 trips in this thing over the last year already! Love love love it so far.

Couple of more questions : Jacks, what do you guys use to jack the trailer up if you get a flat?

Was thinking something like this but not sure if it would get it high enough.
20 Ton Hydraulic Bottle Jack

30 lbs bottles
Where do you take these to get filled? I only see 20 lbs bottles and have no idea, we are still using just one but curious more then anything else really. Are there shops that just refill them? Do you do an exchange like with 20 lbs grill bottles although I don't want to as my bottles are 'new' looking.

We are on our 3rd set of warranty LED lights for the awning and although we still have warranty left and are going to get them fixed one last time, I really think I am going to swap to the ones that stick to the side of the TT. Most of the ones I have found are pretty cheaply made. Does anyone have a link to a 'good' set and a how too? Most seem to be 110 and require a converter which can't get wet. I found some at camping world but they are 70.00 and require a box that can't get wet, so not sure how that would work.

Congrats on getting out so much already!

Many campgrounds will refill the propane bottle. Camping World can, too, if one is nearby.

There are many options for jacks. You can even use blocking and roll good axle onto it to lift other off the ground.

We don't have LED's, but a friend bought some from CW that go in the aux. slot on the roller. Not sure how the factory ones mount. I'm old-school and hang lights from hooks.

I use the same jack to lift the trailer. I purchased last year a trailer aid plus and it would not get the tire off the ground. The suspension of the trailer just hung down.
In regards to the tanks we've pulled up to fuel stations that fill the tanks and they do it while the tanks are on the trailer.
The LED's are the worst. Just stick with your idea I like them on the trailer because they can be used even with the awning stowed away.

To jack up for a tire issue, I use a 6 ton bottle jack. I jack on the frame near the tire needing attention. I also use a flat piece of metal between the Jack and the frame to protect the membrane underneath so as not to poke a hole in it. I also place a Jack stand under the frame or axle as close to the drum as possible. The Jack is just for safety, in case the Jack fails, so I don't rest the axle on it.

So far we've been pretty lucky to have all but one of our trailer flats out in the desert where we camp. We just put out some leveling blocks in front of the good tire and dig a hole in front of the bad tire. Then we pull forward and the good tire raises the trailer and the bad tire dangles over the hole. It's pretty redneck, but it's very simple.

The one time we had a flat on the highway we just had AAA change it for us. I hadn't bought the RV service, so I had to step aside while my wife and daughters sweet talked the handsome wrecker driver into helping us out. Then I tipped him real well.

I bought the AAA RV service when we got home.

Camping World. Rental yards. Some welding shops. Some gas stations.

Avoid cylinder exchanges. You want to refill your nice newish tanks and not trade yours for somebody's skanky old tank. Plus you probably won't find bottles that big at an exchange.

I get mine filled at just about any LP place. Try and avoid the exchange places. Seems like they never have 20# in the tank.

Got a tractor supply right down the road from the house! Thanks guys!

Anyone have a link to a "How To" for the LED light install? I thought the ones that you can change color would be cool, so in the summer you can turn it yellow and not attract as many bugs. :socool:

propane is filled anywhere you see a large vertical or large horizontal propane tank above ground. Costo or any trailer place , gas station .Either by the gallon or by weight(canada and some states) 30 # ers are not swapable,I do not think. Plus cheaper to fill than swap.
Leds...I am letting mine burn out and not waste my time putting new junk back on.

If you have a BJ's membership, most of them have propane stations.

For led string lights:

Check Ebay and Amazon. You can get good quality ones quite reasonably. I ordered some from China with a radio frequency remote. Be sure to get the completely waterproof ones. I don't recall the water resistance designation, 68 or 69 maybe, but the led strip is encased in solid vinyl or silicone so you only have to worry about the connection. I got the multi-color string but you can go with straight white or other color. They are 12-24 volt. You also need to decide the white color temp you want, which goes from yellowish to florescent blue-white. Read up on leds and then find what you decide you want on Ebay or Amazon. Mine have been installed for a year and still work fine as does the remote. The quality seems excellent. I think they have figured out how to make them properly now.
