Cracking noise under Delano motor home

Wife wanted me to ask this question. Just the last few days, after we leveled the motor home and slid out, we will randomly get a single cracking noise under the passenger side, around where the leveling jack is. This happens if we are moving around, but also if we are just laying in bed sleeping.

This isn't a very specific question and I don't have any more information so I don't really expect a specific answer but was hoping someone would say oh yeah, I had that happen and it was this that or the other.

We've had a lot of issues with this unit so we, especially the wife, are spooked by anything even just the slightest bit out of the ordinary. So thank you very much for any thoughts you might have.

Would "creaking" be a better description? Common with hydraulic leveling systems. Sometimes it's the levels settling in, sometimes the raised suspension - especially if you have a tire hanging.

I’d say more of a cracking sound. We’re used to creaks and such.

This didn’t manifest until we parked about a week ago. Prior to that had used it on and off for 15 months. Don’t think it’s the jacks, we’re on a level concrete pad.

I had a similar noise.
The side tail pipe hit underneath when we walk around the rig. We had Traci in billings MT install a clamp

Thank you! The noise is on the opposite side of the motor home from the tail pipe. I can sometimes make it crack if I stand in the hall between the shower on the passenger side, and the bathroom on the driver side, then rock my weight from side to side. It will make the noise when I rock toward the passenger side. I thought that it wasn’t the leveling jacks but maybe 16ACE27 is on to something and it might just be the rear jack. I’m gonna set up next time without the jacks and see if we can still hear it.
Appreciate your feedback

Use tape to secure the jacks then walk around or go under and have wife walk around

Plywood floor has settled and loosened a few self tapping screws.
Pay attention to hear how it is temperature related.
Temp going up
Going down
Sun on the vehicle on that side
Sun was last on the vehicle on that side.

Every home we've had rv or stick has had violent pops based on Sun on roof or night causing cooling.

Floors work the same.

Or a loose bolt pops one way and slides the other.
When you walk around it 'resets' itself quietly then pops as load shifts.

I doubt this noise equates to a worry.

LOL I feel ya…my wife does not.

These are all good thoughts. I did raise the supports and the popping stopped so I think it’s something to do with that. Next stop we’ll put em down again and see if we can repeat the problem

When the onboard propane tank is full it makes some weird creaky crazy noises. Once it gets down to 2/3 I never hear it again until I fill it. May be temp related to. Never really pay much attention to it.

We had this on our Super C. There is a Lippert bulletin on a fix for this.

If you do a search for Lippert TI-191 you will see posts for this issue for almost every brand. We did this "fix" and it resolved the issue. Once in a while we will still get a different popping sound but have determined that it only occurs when we are on crushed limestone. We believe this is caused by the jack crushing a piece of the crushed limestone.

Thank you! Since I first posted this, a hydraulic leak developed at the driver side rear jack. Appears to be right at the connection to the jack. Did my best to tighten it up but didn't fix it. Don't know if the two are related or not but we've been fighting with Thor about a warranty extension so will try to take it back (again) to their factory for repairs.
