Cranking battery keeps going dead

Sadly once the battery goes dead a few times then it is toast and needs to be replaced.

My chassis battery discharged on me once while in storage--I installed a disconnect immediately after. Haven't had an issue since (when in storage both my batteries are disconnected).

Is the bim a solenoid relay under the hood to the right of the engine with a battery cable coming straight from the battery. Does it separate the two battery systems. Can I purchase at auto parts store.

No, a BIM is a solid state Battery Isolation Manager.

The BIRD uses a solenoid to isolate the chassis and house batteries. Where is is located depend on which coach you have.

I think in the area he described. The BIM is in that location on the Axis. But that is for him to clear up. I did leave links yesterday in other thread.

FYI. the BIM has a 5 year warranty from the manufacturer.

You can call them and they will walk you thought some tests. If they believe it's bad they will send you a new one. No need to return the bad one to them

Thought mine was bad but the test he had me do showed it was good. He did help me solve my problem

So no need to buy one unless its older than 5 years. I believe they cost about $150

Cranking battery going dead

The solenoid isolation manager part came in and it is now installed .Now it's a wait and see if that solves my problem.

I know what they are and what they look like. I've changed mine. Was wanting a picture in the motorhome setting location. I have noticed some calling them by different names?

Sorry I do not have a picture but it's located driver side front right beside the fuse box .Really easy to see . When I contacted Thor that's what they called it.
