We are looking at Crossroads Cruiser Air Fifth Wheels. Specifically 2024 CR28BH (we know it has a bunk room) or the 2023 CR27MK.

We've also checking out a CR24RL.

It seems like the two with non-bunks are almost priced at too good to be true.

We'd really like to know more about the brand and the fifth wheels.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hello and welcome to the forum. :flowers:

The Cruiser Air is a pretty popular camper. Someone will probably answer soon.

Interested in a crossroads air

Whatever you do, if you find one that interests you, GET IT PROFESSIONALLY INSPECTED! Crossroads is owned by Thor and their customer service and workmanship can be spotty..

This industry should have an oversight board because many companies have built crap for many years.

Buyer beware!

I will add one thing and that is to do a through PDI with the seller. Go over everything to make sure it works and where it's located and how to make it work then you do it. Kind of a training course in your camper. But without the cost. There is a very good PDI list in the documents section that you can download and take with you.

Rpmuise Could you provide the year make and model of your camper. That way we all know what you have and can address your issues.

Thanks.

I asked about the make model of your tow vehicle because a alot a travel trailers and 5th wheels are being advertised as "half ton". The hitch weight or pin weight alone exceeds the payload capacity of the tow vehicle.
Also thoroughly inspect the roof for bubbles and cracked sealant.

we have a '21 cr28rd 5th wheel and we tow it with a '22 ram 2500 dsl. it is about 10,000# and the ram tows it easily. I get around 11-12 if I dont go over 70. I am using the B&W slider hitch but have not needed the slider. we are really happy with the 28rd. the opposing slides give us a lot of room for our 2 dogs. 20230525_172532.jpg

We own a 2016 CAF25SE (29’ 9”) Cruiser Aire 5er. We tow with a 2020 Chevrolet 2500 HD Custom (gas). Tows very well. Cruiser has been good to us. Like any unit make or model there is going to be things that have to be maintained or repaired. (roof, windows, storage doors, locks, lights, plumbing, etc. I’ve owned 10 different units from four different manufacturers (pop ups, tag alongs, fifth wheels and a motorhome. They all have advantages and disadvantages but the bottom line is they all are not perfect and they all have to be maintained and some repairs done. There are some horror stories about certain units that have been disastrous but for the most they are similar.

Just click on the members name in the post that you are trying to PM and it will open a dropdown box then it will say send a private message to-- the members name. They should get it. If they want to answer that is up to them.
