I usually pop my head into the compartment and look at it with a flashlight. It's kind of hard to see as its shaded under the bedroom (or living room) slide.

And if you have the 40 Lb tanks it's even harder to see.

Forgot about the indicator on the regulator...dont know about you but I have a difficult time reading it, they really did a poor job with the placement, it's very hard to see it!!

I agree, it is a little difficult. I have found though that I can use a flashlight and stick my head in the compartment to see the status indicator on the switch over regulator. It works well for me.

IMPOSSIBLE to see over the 40 lb tank and hose ...
tried the electronic one that shoots thru the tank, but not reliabel so got a couple of these and they at least give me an indication

I used the same thing but I found that one of them was leaking so I took them both off.

Tried those gauges & found they told me 2 things, full & empty, I could tell that by lifting the tank.
