We have an 06 30sk. Like many of you we started with a fold down, to a TT bunk house and now a 5ver. Could any of you explain why, when the kids grow up and move, we get a bigger trailer? One answer is Bandit the Wonder Beagle. He needs the extra room, we think he really is a cross between a chow hound and a bed hog. I have enjoyed reading this forum and now have the urge to participate.

Well welcome to the dysfunctional family!

I asked the very same question to my parents when, after we all moved out, they added on to the house and insalled central air. (we had window fans growing up) And my Dad answered "Now we have the Money!"

just as Chris's dadis doing, we are spending the kids' inheritance

....just leaving them with the bills.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on making a brilliant, well thought out and very smart choice in the 30SK!

Welocme to the board. I feel the need to tell you to start watching your mail box

Welcome... Remember to share you good and bad stories. We cannot make all the mistakes on our own, and have to rely on others to make some for us. Lots of nice folks on here with some good advice.

WElcome to the forum, you are going to like it here. We like new people with questions.

Funnyyou should mention that. We pulled the fold down with a van. For 2 years we set up or tore down in the rain. The "Boss", K said she wanted a real camper. I explained if she wanted a real camper, I needed a real truck, she said find one. We had the bunkhousTe for 7 years and the kids grew and didn't want to camp. The "Boss" said we might as well get rid of the BH and get a 5ver. I explained if you want a bigger trailer I need a bigger truck. Again with her blessing I now have a 2500. The Hemi is okay but as we travel further from home I am now holding out for a TD tonner. We'll see what happens.

Glad to see the Forum is well visited. I already received an answer to a query!!! I hope to read more helpful tips and pointers as I learn the ropes of my 08 32SB. Great trailer - nice to have an onboard bathroom.. Hope to make it to New England next year for 3 week road trip - will be looking for advice throughout the winter!! Edited by: Darrell

Oh, over the years this has been a learning experience. If you want to be humbled, just own a camper long enough and you will learn humility. I have made the mistakes of, forgetting to unplug the shore power, not putting down the antenna, and that is just the beginning.

Our first night camping in the fold down, a nasty storm came in and started rocking the trailer. The Boss asked if it was going to blow over, I had to tell her I didn't know, we did make it.

Hey csham, I have the truck now and will have to wait 6 years before the kids are out of college (I hope!) to get somthing bigger and more fancy...
