Hi everyone,
We have a 2016 Thor Freedom E 26 ft. The top of the dinette seat back upholstery split and we tried to reupholster it and it split immediately and the wood piece cracked. Does anyone know how or where we can just get a new piece including the wood and upholstery? It’s not the seat back cushion it’s the piece it fits into. We tried our local RV dealer and they didn’t have a clue what we were talking about. Gave us a web site for the vinyl not what we were looking for.
Thank you for any help.

Very grainy picture so I can't figure out what/where the issue might be.

Perhaps an upholstery shop would be a better source for repair?

Call Thor customer service with your VIN. IF it's available they will be or know the source. Otherwise, a trip to the local upholstery shop will be in your future, or, as a remote possibility, a RV junk yard if one is near by.

Are there any carpenters in your area? Or maybe buy a new dinette from shop4seats. In my Hurricane, I replaced the front seats and the dinette cushions with new ones from shop4seats. In the process I removed all of the pealing fake leather from the backing boards of the dinette. As well as the junk on the ends of the seat benches. I sanded the plywood, rounded over the edges and painted it all kona brown. No more pealing pleather crap to deal with.

We had our dinette reupholstered by a guy who specializes in restoring old cars. He did a great job. We use cloth this time, not the fake leather. It it's been doing well so far. If the backboard is broken it can be replaced. It's only plywood.
