I have owned at least 3 coaches with EOH brakes, they are far better than the standard magnet type brakes. I am happy to see that Redwood is offering it as an option. Edited by: redwood5er

The availability of disc brakes is one of the things we also really like about the Redwood.

I'm very interested in the pro/consof having disk brake. Is it mainly improvedstopping perfomance improvements?Other than that, what other benefit(s) to justify the high additional cost? Since my RV has not bee built yet, I might want to add that option if I can justify the need.

Based on what I have read, the main advantage to disk brakes is the stopping distance that is claimed to be approximately half of what drum brakes will give.

A very good friend has a 2010 Carri-Lite with EOH brakes. He has owned several other 5ers and is very impressed with the disk brakes. A lot better braking, no fade and with a good proportional brake controller excellent control.
There is no way I'll get another 5er with standard brakes.
Might as well have a recording when we talk to dealers. "Price must include disk brakes and Goodyear 614's or upgrade to 17.5" wheels"... beep.

X2 on the Disc Brakes. Upgraded to the MorRyde IS w/Disc Brakes and the stopping power is excellent. Planning to order a 36RL for Fall delivery and it will have the Disc Brakes and 614s. Presently talking with the Factory about the possibility of having the frame sent to MorRyde for installation of their IS w/Disc Brakes before the rest of the rig is placed on the frame.
