I have a window that was fogged, and now it has about an inch of water. Does anyone know of a repair location that can repair the window versus replacing the entire window and frame for $3,000+

There was a recent thread about this very same issue with several solutions. Did you try the SEARCH feature?

If you can get the glass out without breaking it, take it to a glass company that can repair or replace the insulated glass. If you find the right shop, they might be able to take it apart and put it back together after cleaning and installing a new spacer and beautiful caulk. Otherwise they can just make you a new piece of insulated glass. I just looked on the Internet and one such company that can replace the glass is Alamo glass that’s in Austin Texas call around and see if you can find somebody that can do what you want. Simple job for a small company and at a very reasonable price..

As noted above there is a previous thread but sometimes can be difficult to navigate if you are new. I can give you a summary. This is a common problem since double pane windows are needed for insulation and to minimize interior sweating in cold damp weather. The jostling of the RV eventually loosens the seal between the panes. Options: 1)You can replace the windows. 2) You can remove the windows yourself and bring them to a glass shop, taping over the hope while under repair. It takes a competent DIY person and 1 helper to do this. 3) Go to a place that specializes in RV window defogging. I used one near Tampa, FL. The cost is around $750 per window.

I considered this on my RV and decided it was beyond my abilities. Your first have to remove the windows and put a temp cover over the holes. Then you have to pry them apart without breaking the glass, etc etc, The shop that did mine broke the glass on 2 windows and they are, supposedly, pros. Not an easy job.

I hear you. I did both my front windows. It was not easy. The hardest part was not dropping the windows. Mine are large and heavy.

I understand. He said he tried it and "found nothing". The link worked for me.
Tried what?

"I just did" can mean anything but it probably means he tried the Search and found nothing.. The link has the thread with plenty of info in it.

If your visiting Florida, Suncoast Designers in Hudson Florida is a great place to have them fixed. You can bring your rig to one of their overnight hookup sites or bring them your window. I brought my huge driver side window from a 2007 Tuscany and they did a great job.

My rig is the 3rd vehicle on my Auto policy. I just learned that I have zero deductible on glass and they assure me that claims have no effect on future premiums.

So, to me, this is a no-brainer. Call Safelite, get an estimate, get an assurance that its covered, get it fixed, and let Safelite bill the insurance. Simple.

However, you may have another issue to contend with. Insurance companies don't mind paying for sudden damage, but they aren't keen on paying for slow deterioration. You might need to throw a rock at that window to get coverage. More research needed on that.

Suncoast designer did six windows on our Palazzo last year. We had mixed experience with them. Two windows broke during removal. Pricing was transparent and as estimated. Their communication was excellent. However the repair took 6 weeks. Two windows leaked 3 months after their repair and although guaranteed, by this time we were 6 hours away. So I re-caulked it myself. I guess I would recommend them since there's not a lot of companies that do this kind of work.
