Drop Frame

I'm wondering if anyone has had an issue with the front landing legs dragging because of them being closer to the ground with the front drop frame design. When I bring my rv to my house, I make a 90* turn from a level street onto an instantlyvery steep (incline)street. I have to drive very slowly in the turn to prevent the rv from hitting the side of my truck bed and I have 6" of clearance. Because of my truck starting up the steep grade inaright turnwith the rv still being on the level street and and leaning because of the turn, I'm wondering if the front landing legs will drag. Hope this is not too confusing and someone has some experience with this to answer my question. Thanks

Thumper, if I understand your situation correctly, you might want to keep an eye on the back end of the trailer at least as much as the front. It could be dragging on the street, in which case steel rollers could be needed.

Wolf59a, you are correct about the steel rollers. I have them on our current rv. I just haven't been able to visualize if the front landing legs will drag before I get the rv a little bit uphill.

I haven't had any problem so far with the front landing gear. I did have a problem with a minor incline in my driveway when I backed my 36RL up onto my concrete from a gravel driveway...... about a 6 to 10 inch incline over 15 feet. I discovered that the bottom step of the ladder, on the back of the coach, caught the concrete and stappedoff the step. I did not realize that the ladder was hanging down that low. I will have to fix that during the winter.

Yes, I've already experienced the ladder thing with our current RV.
