I want to be able to use an external propane supply for my Axis. I’ve ordered the 4 port Camco connector with a 12ft hose because I want the tank to be further away from the MH. ( the regular kit comes with a 5 ft hose) I noticed there’s very little space inside the Axis propane compartment so I’m concerned there won’t be enough room to add the connector.
Have any of you done this and did you encounter any problems?
Thanks

It doesn't take much space and you can run your hose(s) from underneath. Make sure you get the fittings really tight and do the soapy water test. Never felt it was needed on previous gas line applications, but this adapter needs it. Also, don't use any of the tapes or pipe dope stuff. \The adapter works great!! Just check for leaks.

I just disconnect the regulator from the frame mounted tank and move it out and connect to a 20# bottle. Then run the slide out. Also have a tee if I want to connect other devices.
The 20 # bottle is some what protected from the weather by the slide but isn't a problem with propane venting into the RV since there is plenty of air flow around the bottle.
