Was under the hood of my 2023 ACE to install an air horn when I noticed something strange.

Coming off the front frame cross member there are brackets on both sides that look like they should be attached to the something. The front fiberglass cap has wood blocks mounted at the same level as the bracket. ( see picture).

Should these bracket be attached to the front cap?

In haven't been to Plant 750 in some time but I suspect the front cap mounting specks are the same for all the coaches using that GVWR chassis, since MorRyde does all of the chassis modifications for Thor MC. The front caps on the Hurricane and Windsport are different from the ACE's and probably use these mounting points

I had the same. Called Thor. They said they are crush panels. Not designed to hold the weight of the front can. They are just tacked in place with small screws for no reason. Dont worry about it.
