Several of you have asked to see the pictures I took while touring the Redwood factory. Below is the link to the pictures. As I said before I was impressed with the Redwood trailers before this tour and after even more after. They produce 6 trailers a day. http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r597/davemolleck/

Dave:
Thanks so much for posting your factory tour pictures! For us owners locatedfar from the factory, it was a rare view of the complexity behind assembling our units. It was not only facinating viewing the production line, but alsothe various aspects that you saw in production -like the frames with kingpins already installed, and the generator & exhaust installed so early in the process. I hope that one of the units you saw was being built for you!

I see that you got a personal tour by Andy Wesdorp, who is one of themost friendly and down to earth dedicatedmanagers. You must have really enjoyed yourself. Please leave the link active so we can view your tour again and again.

I'll leave it active as long as they'll let me. The frame with my wife and I standing next to it was ours, that's why I took so many pictures of it. Our trailer should have headed to the paint booth today. I agreeAndy (the OZ) is a great guy.

Dave, Thanks for the photos. Not sure when we will get that far North. I have been to the Jayco factory when I was in sales. RW is much entailed than the Jayco - maybe because Jayco builds everything from popups to MHs. Very impressive.

Thanks for the post Dave I will enjoy the tour better now that I have an advance look. I cannot wait for Thursday

Thanks so much for posting them! I had never seen how they were built, and was surprised that they put in the generator first thing, and the interiors before the walls. It was great to see how they do it. It does make sense to do it like that, I just never thought about it before, just assumed they did it like they do houses!

thanks again!

Marian

Dave,

The pictures of the factory tour are very good. Andy Wesdorp was our tour guide last June when we did the tour. I had done a factory tour at anotherRV supplier in Goshen, Indiana prior to the Redwood tour. I was much more impressed with the Redwood operation and that is what sold me on the Redwood product. Our 36RL looks like your picture number 2 in terms of exterior finish.

Nicepictures, interesting to see how these 5er's are put together. If someone else has theopportunityto post morepicturesit sure would beappreciated. again thanks:)

I'll be going to the factory on Thursday and will take some pics of the process and a FL should be posted Thursday night.

Awesome pictures Dave! You just saved me from long trip to the factory. Your pictures are so well defined and well composed that I now know all I need to know about how our baby's are built. It was your pictures that confirmed for me that there is ample wheel clearence to go from the 235 80 16 Marathon tire to the 235 85 16 Michlein tire. Good job! Now if you can just tell us about what the argument between you and Wes was about.
