I have this general fault signal on my Challenger. At first I had a flashing error on my main screen but that is now gone, but I have a red light showing as in the attached picture.

I believe that is a Generator Fault Signal which, if the generator is not running, may be normal? Hopefully somebody with the same control/display system will chime in.

This gen fault red light was listed in the warranty items for our Miramar 35.2. The dealer said it happens when the generator doesn't start. I know that the generator didn't start when I used the panel rather than the switch in the cockpit or the button on the generator. The dealer said it isn't a big deal as long as the generator eventually starts, and don't forget to prime the generator before starting.

Since then I've only started the generator from the switch in the cockpit and always prime before starting. It starts and I haven't seen the gen fault indicator since.

I'm not an expert and I'm relying on the dealer's suggestion but so far his suggestion is working.

If you find something different please let us know. thank you.

The generator did take two tries to start so this could be the issue. I guess we can rely on the dealer's word. I will continue to monitor it since the light is still red even after the generator started.

Here is another fault scenario. I am not sure if it is related. One of the attached photos shows the wireless switches. #7 has the weakest signal and it has shown red before but corrects itself. On the diagnostics screen, under 12v, 7 is also where the Gen Fault Signal is noted. I have no idea if this is a coincidence or if they are related. Just sems odd the the number 7 is tied to both. Could "Gen" be for general not generator?

The wireless switches are the various light switches located inside your coach. They can be removed from the wall mount and you can install a replacement battery in it(watch type battery in each light wall switch). They can be pulled off the wall mount to access the battery.

Thanks all for the great info. I still need to confirm the GEN FAULT SIGNAL but the input has been great for troube shooting.
