Favorite Places For the Summer

I'm looking for cool places in the West to escape the sizzling Palm Springs, CA summer weather from mid-May to mid-October. We've spent these 5 months traveling around before, but are now thinking we would like to find 3 or 4 stops where we could spend 1 to 2 months each.

Requirements are RV resorts with average summer highs below 85, good amenities and activities, and reasonably priced golf (under $60 with cart) nearby.

For example, Show Low, AZ at 6300 feet, fits our needs with it's Venture In RV resort, Silver Creek Golf Club, and Bison Golf Club.

So do any of you out there stay at other places (in the West) that are similar?

Note: I'm looking for recommendations for specific RV Resorts/Parks - not just general areas.

I thought maybe Russ (coastn) would chime in here. He is one of the guys on the forum that might have that info.
