First Hybrid Class A Coming From Thor

My 2010 Prius is still going strong! And im seeing many 2nd generation Prius still on the road.

We need more information to draw any relevance from your unrelated anomaly.

If 15 prius cars were chained together and you were forced to charge them serially instead of parallel...every 150 miles...
Who could you convince to own one?
How would you all feel even TRYING to convince someone to own one?


No you all wouldn't own one because it is totally ridiculous.

I doubt anyone could defend the lie to anyone even semi-educatable.

Take my 15 car example and adjust it to fit what you all will believe.

How close to a public charger do we think we can TRULY, without undo 90 point turns, get in and rv?

I bet you can't get within an rv length let alone back into one of the spots between the lines. The longer the rv the exponentially less chance of getting close.

900 kilo-watt-hour battery pack - estimated range 500 miles, if weight is 53,000 lbs. Musk said it is all possible when he gets the 4680 cells in full production. The drive train and batteries in now in the Pepsi tractor with 36 delivered to Pepsi.

There are battery powered trains musk has two in Germany delivering factory workers for Berlin out to the Telsa factory.

Jan 28, 2022 today BNSF announced plans to purchase 20 battery-electric locomotives for testing in yard operations. Progress Rail (a Cat Subsidiary supplying diesel battery hybrid locomotives to CN

Battery swap vs charging. 5 minutes vs 5 hours. Done. It's already in use.

Failed in Australia 20+ years ago.
Maybe this time...but not for rv's

Trains first then VIABLE AND WANTED, NOT EXPERIMENTAL, not deeply subsidized, not monetary losses of three times sales price, rv's.

Stable
In place
Will not block roads
Can drag the stupid weight needed
A writeoff and carbon credits
Suburban Ninnies need not be involved.
It can be 'the Solyndra Solution' and fail without consequence.
No road tax or fuel tax problems.
20 to test? They're doing for the credits not because they want them.
Three years ago...how's that going?

Rv's are pipe dreams.
Veyrons in cardboard houses.
Doable and realistic are not a hand in hand thing.

What's the charge time on 900kw?

On battery swaps...


Note the issue of "price". I stick to the premise that "price" is an arbitrary number and has no bearing on production cost or value. Case in point... perfume and Taylor Swift "concerts". Then there's that fallacy of the "free market"... :rolleyes:

Charge time using two of Tesla's mega charging stations (the truck has left and right side charging ports) is 31 minuted for a 20% charge to 80% charge. Using two 400 volt standard Tesla charging stations take 1 hour 35 minutes. The Tesla class 8 truck production is constrained by battery production.

Joby Aviation had succeeded in producing a titanium battery pack (Lithium-ion) that weighs one kg per 350 watt hours. It is used in their air taxi. USAF is testing three. One at Edwards and two at Wright-Patterson. Total order is 20. Current range is miles just over 300 miles or 1 hour and 10 minutes.
All you have to do is look at the price of LFP batteries in 2016 and compare them with today current price. I remember saying in 2016 when I bought my coach, there will never be a gas coach with LFP batteries; as the conversion would be over $10,000. I just converted my coach for less than $800 and have four times the usable Amp-Hs of two group 27 FLA batteries.
