Hello; Having just retired, my wife and I thought we would try an RV experience. Having friends spread around the country, we thought that this would be a good way to travel. My question is; That due to the low toilet seat and my having some back issues, is there a way to attach a grab bar to the wall ? Thanks

Depending on the coach you can get the toilet raised up.

Which coach did you get?

Oh and congratulations!

Congrats on your new coach. Hope you have a great time traveling and visiting around. We have enjoyed ours and found that it fits our type of camping just fine. Stick around and let us know how it goes and feel free to contribute and ask questions.
Seeing that you are in NH, we have just returned from a few weeks up there. We usually go back every summer since we used to live in Francestown.
Oops, did not answer your question on getting off the hopper. Depending on if you wanted to pull up off the toilet or push up, you could mount a wall bracket to the left to pull up or you may could install a pedestal on each side of the toilet. Or you can get the raised toilet seats with the bars on each side. The wall bracket or grab bar on the wall maybe more compact and take up less room.
Happy trails to you.

Keep in mind that the walls are pretty flimsy and probably wouldn't be able to bear much weight without reinforcement. Your best bet would be handles to the floor.

The wall to the left of the toilet (as you are sitting on it) does have the waste tank vent line and some electrical lines running through it so you'd want to be careful about that as well.

In your spare time you may want to peruse though this thread:

Welcome to the forum! Search online for a toilet bar that attaches to the toilet, rather than the wall or floor. The thin wall paneling won't support much weight. Remember that the toilet in the Axis sits on a platform. Here's one that might fit your needs:
