We are heading out tomorrow on our first trip in our 2014 271 BH. Every memorial weekend a group of us boondock at a small local" campground". My question is we just purchase a champion 2000 watt inverter generator. Should I be concerned with plugging the TT into the generator( we are not using the air conditioner) Thanks

Great size for running everything except the AC. Since it's an inverter generator it is clean power so will not harm your unit whatsoever. Enjoy your weekend.

The generator will shut down if you try to pull to much from it. With no AC you should be able to run lights, pump, bath fan, radio/tv. Electric water heater or microwave might be able to run, but only if they're the only items running. Small appliances like toasters, toaster oven, coffee makers are ok but watch your total wattage.

Forget the AC of course.

Here's a nice wattage chart Champion has put together:

I suggest you look at the wattage draw on -- toasters, toaster ovens, coffee makers, and convection ovens. You will find they are power hogs. They take lots of wattage. Each and every one.

Returned home yesterday from our first trip. We had a great time and had no problems with our TT. The generator was a great addition and ran flawlessly. Thank you all for your replies.

Happy to hear you enjoyed your trip - that genny is probably the perfect size for power just when you need it.
