Got a letter from Ford, not labeled recall, warning that the shifter cable clip may fail dropping the cable and possibly damage it.

I assume that when Thor puts the Axis/Vegas body on the E450 chassis there are some modifications,

Has anyone else received this letter and does it really pertain to E450 stripped or is it for Class C cutaways?

At the bottom of the "Customer Satisfaction Program 24B68" letter for the shifter cable is a note to Motorhome owners. It says representatives are available 24 hours a day and the Motorhome Customer Assistance Center can be reached at 1-866-906-9811

My letter is a CSP not a recall. I’ll get you an update on what the Ford dealer finds after La Mesa RV finishes the warranty work. Probably late March after our Maui trip. You just can’t go everywhere in the RV.

CSPs are also found in the search from the link above.

Just scheduled a mobile service tech from my local Ford dealership to come to my house to do this CSP 24B68 update. This is the same Ford dealership that won't work on my Class C because their service bays are too small.

Mobile service tech from my local Ford dealership came out to my house to do this CSP 24B68. The plastic support bracket that stabilizes the shift cable was a little deformed from the exhaust pipe heat but it wasn't bad. It had not failed, which would allow the shift cable to contact the exhaust pipe. Tech moved the cable a little further from from the exhaust wrapped it with heat resistant tape, secured with cable ties.

Finally got mine done at a local Ford dealer. They said they don’t service RVs (probably don’t have the lifts) but since the fix doesn’t require a lift they could fix it. Took 2 days because they had to order a shield.
