I plan on heading south the first week in January so I am not planning on winterizing my Class A Thor Windsport. I have my unit plugged in at home and I check the inside temperature on a daily basis. I have a small heater running inside to keep the coach temperature above freezing. I also have my furnace on set at 55 and the grey and black tanks are heated. I plan to put antifreeze in both the black and grey tanks as well. My question is about the location of the fresh water tank. Have I covered all the bases to keep from worrying about freezing pipes? Thanks.:)

How cold does it normally get in your between now and Jan.?

It will be a high of about 30 this coming Sunday in Kentucky where I live but that is only for one day. Most of the time the temps will have high in the 40's and lows in the 20's.

I camp in those kind of temps every fall, and don't have any problems. If you have your rig set up the way you stated, I don't think you will have any problems either. I would suggest that you open all the cabinet doors on the lower level to allow heat and air movement. Actually when the temps get real low when we are out , we open "all" the doors inside the camper. It helps on condensation as well. Consider keeping clothes and other things from touching the outside walls also.
Good luck.

Thanks Lloyd- you have been a big help. Since I have a new motor coach, I guess I am a bit paranoid. I do have a shower compartment and a sink in two different compartments on the outside of the coach that concerns me as well.

It doesn't take long to blow the lines with an air compressor. Just be sure not to use more than 40# pressure. Doing it that way will insure no problems from freezing, plus you won't have contend with getting the pink stuff out of the lines later.
Just another idea in case you hadn't thought of it.
