Fumoto Oil Drain Valve

On my last oil change, I decided to install a Fumoto Oil Drain Valve to help keep the oil from draining onto the cross member on my 2022 Thor Miramar 37.1. It is built on a 2021 Ford F53 Chassis. I went on Fumoto's website and it showed the different options so I picked one of them that had an extended nipple to attach a drain line to direct the old oil into my oil catch bucket. When it arrived and the time came to change the oil, I found that the Fumoto Oil drain valve would not screw into the oil pan on my coach due to the deep recess of the drain plug and limited space to screw it on. I contacted Fumoto via email and I explained to them that even though I had purchased the valve and the extension piece, I was unable to attach the valve to my oil pan. I purchased that valve about a year earlier. Their customer service told me to clean up the current valve and send it back to them once I received a return order mailing label which they would also pay for the return postage. They have another valve that should work and would send it out to me once they receive my current valve free of charge. I received the replace valve and they also sent me a nipple attachment and drain hose/line. Once my coach is ready for another oil, change, I will be installing the Fumoto F107SX M12-1.75 oil drain valve to my coach's oil pan. No more oil mess or having to unscrew the oil drain plug for oil changes. I am very pleased with Fumoto's customer service and quick response to my issue.

I love my Fumoto! I've been using it 3 years now on my E-Series... I just use a poly hose to drain oil directly into a 5 gallon water jug. I wish one was available for my F-150... but NO! Plastic oil pan.

I am not sure I follow why the 1st one did not work. But you got a good one now, so that is all that counts.

I have Fumoto on my 2019 F53, it has long nipple but does not rotate. Not sure I need it to rotate but I can see where in some cases it is handy.

I drain direct into a flat oil pan. I made a special cup out of a Tide detergent container to catch the oil when I remove the filter. I play a game with myself to not to have a drop of oil anywhere. It is very hard to do.

What's interesting is that I have the same Fumoto in my F-53 and my Lincoln Navigator.

Thanks for letting me know about the rotating option. If I were buying one today, I would get the rotating whether I needed or not, it just has more flexibility.

Plastic oil pan? Did TMC make your F-150

I would think that given Ford made a plastic oil pan, it would come standard with a Fumoto or similar drain valve i.e what is on the Onan

I looked at the rotating ones for my coach but they have short nipples, I like the long nipple as it is very easy to add the hose to drain direct to the pan.

I really love these things.

Should be any of the F106 valves or if needed the F316. Website info. Verify.

I’ve had various fumoto valves on 4 or 5 vehicles over the last half dozen years. All good experiences.

I originally had the F137N and returned it to get the SX model. I could not screw the F137 into the oil pan due to the narrow passage that the oil drain pan plug comes out of even with the adapter to give me additional length. The F137N was too large in diameter to screw into the oil drain hole.

2017 F-150. I keep a spare plastic oil plug in the glove box. They're known to strip easily.

Fumoto F106N FN-Series Drain Valve with Long Nipple with Lever Clip

This fit my E-Series V-10 perfectly. I use about a 2' long poly hose from Lowe's to direct it into a jug. Cleaner than a popcorn fart!!

An oil change tip as thanks for that part number:
A 2liter bottle with the top cut off fits over that oil filter.
It allows you to squeeze and turn the filter while catching the always to be a mess overflow.

I have the fumoto valves on all my cars and RV. It makes chaning the oil a lot less messy.
Now you got me looking into one for my Onan QG-4000 generator- its the last engine i have w/out the valve.
