Generator automatically stopped

Regarding the generator shutting off -- I was told by the dealer I bought mine from that Thor has a feature that if your gas tank gets down to 10% it will shut off the generator. The purpose is to make sure you will have enough gas to to start the vehicle and drive to a place to get more gas. Twice, when I was without shore power, had a low gas tank, and needed electricity to operate the slides, the generator would start and run for about 15 minutes, after which it shut itself off. I was not using AGS.

Last night I left awning light on and my inverter controlloer beeped in the middle of the night, the battery controller shows 10.8V, so I turned off the awning light and the inverter. This morning I turned on the generator, it ran for 20 minutes and stopped by itself.

Is it normal for the generator to stop by itself? Is something wrong with my generator?

I have a 2024 Chateau 22E, a Flex Power i4000 generator, and a Renogy 3000W inverter.
Were you at 1/4 tank fuel level ? Most motorhome gas powered generators will quit running so the chassis will run on reserve gas and not run out of fuel. My 2021 Daybreak, Ford E-350 Superduty, chassis 7.3 liter Godzilla @ 8.5 MPG will go 116 miles on a 1/4 tank. The generator quits exactly @ 1/4 tank level.

I have read the 3 pages and though this is older I have one question I did not see asked. Do you have a the option to run gas or electric water heater as electric will use a lot of power and while thinking electric will save propane it will run all night keeping the water hot. Just a thought

I own a 2024 Geneva 28VT and my Flex Power generator decided to quit after around 55 hours on it. Mine was one of three Thors from the same dealership that had the identical issue. Wouldn’t even start. After 3 trips to the dealer it was repaired by a Flex Power technician who flew out to Connecticut to repair mine and the other 2 motor homes.
He claimed it was the inverter. It’s been working fine ever since (knock on wood).
