Generator Oil Change

I change mine every 50+/- hours. My newest one is the QD3200...super simple and never have to get underneath it. My previous was the QD6000...lots of on your back grinding with everything recessed...but I still did it every 50 hours.

That would be about every four days when we're on the road.
No less than once per week.

And spousal unit said to invite you to the Christmas party.
I said you were in Florida

'You don't know where they might be right now'.

I plan on keeping my current coach (2022 Miramar) for a long time. Just like my cars(I sold my model year 2002 BMW 3 series that I bought brand new in Dec. 2001 back in March 2024). I tend to keep my cars running and on the road. I had a Ford Probe for 17 years before selling it before the BMW. I do MOST of my vehicle maintenance myself. I wash and keep the exterior of the motor home spotless.

I agree. The wife says I'm obsessed with the motorhome. Maybe so... but we spent a LOT of cash on it, and I'm sure as hell gonna take VERY good care of it. I sold our 2003 Honda Pilot (bought new) before I bought my 2017 F-150. Still have my 2001 Wrangler. I learned from a wise gentleman years ago that it's a lot cheaper to pay yourself than a bank. Eventually you have saved enough to pay cash. Thanks Pops!!

I checked my records on the GENSET, and since purchasing the RV new in Nov 2020, I have changed oil every May or June since then. I did the oil change early to remove any manufacturing particles that might have gotten suspended in the oil.

The weather here is limiting, so I like to get this work done prior to the HOT summer months (Not all of us have full size garages). There are blank pages in the owners manual that can be used to maintain a record.

I included a page of the record of my 7.3L Engine oil changes, mileage on the left border, year on the bottom. Almost a linear line from purchase. 291 miles when delivered, and then after April of 2022, I put in engine hrs and idle hrs from the data screen.

So Jume of 2025, i should pass the 20K mileage, seems right on schedule.
